Bagels With Deli originated in 1998 as a fast-casual cafeteria-style eatery in shopping malls. It first emerged in Detroit, Michigan, under the name Blooms Kosher Catering, proudly serving recipes passed down through generations.

In 2005, BWD’s founder opened a storefront deli to escape menu restrictions and serve up a variety of its delicious creations.
